Default What does a Media Researcher Do?

A media researcher finds information, people and places for television and radio productions. They support the producers with actual information and creative ideas. They find appropriate studio audiences, program contributors and guests for entertainment shows. They also develop ideas for new programs and discuss the same with producers. Media researchers use internet, libraries and museums for collecting information. As part of the job they search media libraries and archives of music, photographs and film footage. They prepare brief write ups for presenters and script writers. Researchers check the copy right issues and assess permission for archive usage. They keep detailed records of every program. Media researches also do research and content writing for websites, television programs and films. Researches working with small teams of factual programme may use cameras or editing equipments.
