Default What does a Medical Herbalist do?

Medical herbalist uses herbal medicine or phototherapy for treating a large sum of diseases including skin problems, allergies, arthritis and stress-related conditions. Herbal medicines are usually plat extracts and whole plant parts such as leaves or roots of traditional plants with medicinal values. Herbal medicine forms complete balanced medication. Herbalist will examine the patient’s life style, diet and physical symptoms. They will collect complete medical history and carry out essential tests. Depending upon the disease conditions herbalist prescribe suitable medicines in the form of capsules, extracts, ointments or infusions. Herbalist will give suggestions and advices for maintaining a healthy life style. They will schedule follow up appointments and keep record to keep track the patients. Different traditions of herbal medication include western, Indian as well as Chinese.
