Default What does a Medical Secretary do?

A medical secretary works at a hospital, community healthcare center, pharmaceutical companies, etc, delivering administrative support. You will be keep patient records up to date, initiate communications to patients when needed, deal with telephonic or direct enquiries, forward samples for clinical tests, and perform several other functions.

Sometimes you will work a personal assistant to a health service manager. You are responsible for keeping the records organized and according to the filing system in place. You keep patient details up to date by entering updated reports and prescriptions into the patient file.
