Default What skills are needed to becoming a Medical Secretary?

You will need good management skills, as you will handling variety of administrative tasks, filing and reporting. You should be able to work under stressful conditions. Medical secretaries need to have good communication skills – both spoken and written. Ability to manage patients and other people is a must. You should be confident of using computer programs and should possess good administrative skills. You also need to possess qualities like tact, diplomacy and empathy. An active interest in medical and health related topics is also important.
