Default What does a Motor Vehicle Fitter do?

Motor vehicle fitters work at motor vehicle workshops or fast-fit centres and handle repair and replacement of tyres and vehicle parts. As a motor vehicle fitter, you will perform different duties including testing the condition of batteries, tyres, engine, etc. You will use computerised machinery for wheel realignment. You will also advice vehicle owners about periodic maintenance.

Sometimes you may also attend to breakdowns. Depending on your experience and the place you work, you will also attend to other tasks like checking and repairing suspension, steering, brakes, etc. You perform tasks depending on your experience and the practice you have received.
