Qualifications required to become a Motor Vehicle Parts Person
Formal qualifications are not mandatory for this job. If you have prior experience dealing with motor vehicle parts, it can be helpful. If you have worked at service centres, fast-fitting centres, etc, it can also be helpful. You will need a valid driving licence, as you will be travelling short distances to deliver parts.
Basic educational qualification is four GCSEs (A-C). It can get you into apprenticeship programs available at your place. After you join as a motor vehicle parts person, you can further your experience and competences by opting for NVQ. You can also benefit from Level 2 & 3 Certificate in Customer service for Motor Industry, which is offered by Institute of Motor Industry. Your employer can also send you to short term courses of all different kinds to further your qualifications and expertise.
