Default What qualifications are required to becoming a Neighbourhood Warden

There aren't any set educational qualifications to become a neighbourhood warden. More than your education, your people management skills, tact and diplomacy are the qualities that your employers mainly look at. You should be physically fit and should get security clearance after a background check. A driving license is almost essential and you should be able to report the events to police or other agencies in due course.

After absorbed a trainee, you will work up to four weeks with a senior neighbourhood warden, during which time you would learn the demands of this job. Your employer may suggest you take NVQ Level 2 qualification for Community Wardens, which will be helpful in your furthering your career. You should have reasonable physical fitness and should be able to handle situations in a tactful way, without running into trouble of any kind. Your qualities as an assertive, confident person also counts.
