What skills are needed to becoming a Neighbourhood Warden
The most important skill you need is ability to stay outdoors and to remain assertive, open minded and non-judgemental. Tact and diplomacy can take you quite a long way. You may work alone and should be able to take orders. You are an impartial person with understanding of conditions of people of all ages. You should take action when needed, with fairness and justice. An honest desire to improve the lives of people around you is a must. You should be physically fit and strong, but should avoid physical confrontation. You keep in touch with police, community groups, etc. All employers will look for good 'people-skills' and you should be tactful and diplomatic in your dealings.
