What does a Network Manager do?
Network managers design and implement computer network systems. They are the network administrators controlling network with in an organisation or between organisations. They work for IT companies or consultancies and manage in – house network support system. The prior job of a network manager is to ensure the clients business needs be met. Network managers allow the staffs of an organisation to share the systems and exchange data exchange with ease. They setup many a different kind of network like LAN connecting computers with a limited area, MAN connecting different LANs and WAN or GAN. They assess the client’s requirements and design networks to satisfy their needs. Compatibility of the network with the available computer systems is checked. They make sure the security settings and take preventive measures for future maintenance. They continuously monitor the network usage as well as performance and report to higher authorities. Network managers provide supervision to the technical staffs and work closely with other IT professionals towards development and efficient management of network systems.
