Default What skills are needed to become an Operational Researcher?

An operational researcher needs excellent mathematical and computer skills. Organised and methodological approach towards job is required. Logical thinking and business mind is needed. Operational researchers should show outstanding ability to analyse complex information. Research interest and good research skills are required. They should be knowledgeable persons in mathematics, statistics and business theories. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential. They should be patient and talented in explaining complex ideas to non expertise people. Creativity and problem solving ability are required. Along with these people skills and negotiation skills are also essential for better performance.
