Some of the important and essential skills are excellent written and spoken communication skill, ability to handle large amounts of complex information, good research skill, good organizational and management skill, computer and administrative skill, ability to gain attention in details and must have high level of accuracy.

Along with all these skills a paralegal must have patience to handle all sorts of clients, ability to work under pressure, and respect for confidential information.
