Default What qualifications are needed to becoming a Parking Assistant

Parking assistants are not required to having any particular educational qualifications. Some education is essential and there isn't much big educational qualifications to meet. You should have good physical stamina, as you would be required to walk continuously and through various climatic conditions – rain or snow.

It will be advantageous, if you have previous experience working with the public. It can be anywhere, where you are to face the public, and guiding them through. However, this is not imperative, as you will get the training after you are inducted as a parking assistant. You can meet further qualifications like City & Guilds Level 2 Award or Civil Enforcement Officers (Parking), while you are on the job. The main qualifications include your ability to work in a team and independently, without giving up fairness. It is also important that you keep accurate records for further use. You will also be required to operate handheld computers and printers.
