Default What skills are needed to becoming a Police Community Support Officer

Excellent communication skills, assertive personality, confidence, ability to remain calm under pressurizing situations, good observation powers, record keeping abilities, good team working skills, ability to take decisions under pressure, fairness, etc are the skills and qualities you should possess as a Police Community Support Officer. Ability to talk to people from variety of backgrounds is a necessary asset. Your knowledge of the legal provisions and understanding of social situations & personalities are also important skills you must master. You are a figure of authority and you behave that way, keeping law and order and making sure the community is a safe place.
