Default What skills are needed to become a Public Finance Accountant?

A Finance Accountant needs good mathematical and analytical skills. Honesty, integrity and discretion are three essential qualities of Finance Accountant. Problem solving ability and logical approach is essential. Methodological approach towards job and good understanding of business as well as public policy is essential. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required. Patience and ability to explain complex financial issues clearly with non expertises is important. Finance Accountant should be an organised person with good time management skills. Computer knowledge and report generation skills are useful. Accuracy and attention towards minute details of work is needed.
