Default Qualifications required to becoming a Purchasing Manager

You will be asked for relevant qualifications and ample work experience to chair the position of a purchase manager. A degree in business studies, supply chain management or logistics is essential. You can join as an administrator or assistant in purchase department. With ample experience and a certificate provided by the chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), you can make your way to the manger post. BTEC in HNC/HND is an added advantage. In fashion retail and construction industry you will be asked for technical knowledge along with qualifications. Large companies hire employees with A level Qualifications or a degree in any subject and provide necessary training. CIPS qualifications are highly regarded and courses include Level 3, 4, 5, 6 Certificate in Purchasing and Supply. Beginners can make an entry with level 3 or 4 certificates. For becoming a purchase manger you need to get level 6 certificates which is equivalent to graduation.
