Default What skills are needed to become a Purchasing Manager?

You should be good organiser with outstanding negotiation skills. Critical thinking, quick decision making and problem solving ability are essential skills. You should be a good listener and a wonderful communicator along with good reading and writing ability. A natural aptitude towards mathematics is needed for making budgets. You should be well organised with good time management skills. He/ she should be business minded and perform well under pressure to meet the targets. He/ she should be a good leader who can manage and motivate his team members. He/ she should be a continuous leaner, who can research over new improvements in the market and implement innovative ideas.
