Default What skills are needed to become a Rail Engineering Technician?

A rail engineering technician should possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills to build and maintain equipments. Problem solving skills and team working is needed to maintain a healthy work environment. Technical knowledge and safe working skills are required. Physical fitness for handling heavy objects and work flexibility are expected as work schedule will be in odd hours. Good command over English and maths as well as excellent writing and technical drawing skills are needed to prepare reports and technical writings. Along with these understandings on the industry quality standards is also essential for a rail engineering technician.
