Default What skills are needed to become a Road Transport Manager?

A road transport manager has exceptional organisational skills, as you will be required to plan schedules and loads. You will also have a good business sense, logical thinking capabilities and quick decision making capabilities. You are a man/woman of good communication skills, with the ability to deal with people of diverse backgrounds. You will also need good computer skills, as you will be planning the routes according to input you receive on your computer. You also need to have good knowledge of the geographical area you manage. It is also essential to have a thorough understanding of transportation and traffic related rules and regulations. You have good motivational skills and ability to manage a big team, which usually has people from diverse backgrounds.
