Default What skills are needed to becoming a Royal Navy Officer

A Royal Marines Officer needs to have several skills including resourcefulness, leadership, resilient, inspiring, disciplined, confident and assertive. He should be able to take quick decisions under pressure situations. Royal Marines Officers should possess strong communication skills and able to give and take orders. With a methodological approach to combat situations, they are willing to use the strengths of the soldiers under their command to full effect. They always keep themselves physically fit and have the energy to stay inspired for long periods, without losing focus. A clear thinker, a Royal Marines Officer also makes sure decisions are made quickly and orders are given according to the requirements of the situation.
