Default What skills are needed to becoming a Scenes of Crime Officer?

The most important skill of a Scenes of Crime Officer is attention to detail. A methodical and patient approach to solving complex problems is a must. You should have good observational skills and should be able to locate the possible pieces of evidence in strand of hair, in a drop of blood and in a scrap of paint. You should be able to report the finding of evidence. You are not a police officer and should be able to fully assist the investigation officers with collected evidence and reports. You should have good communication skills and you are confident of using variety of tools and equipments. You also need to stay calm under uncomfortable situations and have good physical fitness.
