Default What does a Secretary do?

A secretary will provide support to the administrative professionals. He/ she will draft letters along with other necessary documents. He/ she will be answering and clearing the telephonic enquires. He/ she will fix the appointments and keep the records. He/ she will have schedule and attend every official meeting, take minutes as well as dictate notes. He/ she will deal with file correspondence by updating and filing the official records. He/ she will photocopy and Print the essential documents. He/she will arrange travel and accommodations. An experienced secretary will have to handle additional responsibilities such as personal assistance, accounts and office management. He/ she will have to check, routes and replies the mails. He/she will create databases, spread sheets and presentations. A legal secretary will prepare legal documents like ssubpoenas and summonses. A medical secretary will file and organize patient details and handle billing and insurance claims.
