Default Qualifications required to become an IT Security Coordinator

Your qualifications in IT or computer science can get you the job. You need experience in managing IT security. If you don't haven't studied computer/network safety, you can opt for post graduate qualifications in network security, forensic computing, etc. You can also join a company as a graduate trainee.

Another option is to use your IT knowledge and experience working with IT systems to move to jobs that involve IT security. Some experience in network safety is essential because all of the employers will look for that. You also need experience in different environments – Windows, Linux and Unix.

You also need to keep yourself up to date to the latest technologies, procedures and trends. You need to have a working knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection tools, authentication, etc. You will never stop learning, as the threats are always new and you need to be ready when a new threat emerges. There are also different courses available for the professionals, which can keep you up to date with the latest trends and procedures.
