What skills are needed to becoming a Security Officer?
A security officer should be honest and must possess integrity. They should have a polite and helpful nature, with reasonable levels of physical fitness. They are confident, assertive and take decisions while under pressure. They are always responsible persons and show maturity. A security officer also has good communication skills. They also have good reporting skills and report special events in an objective fashion to their managers or police when needed. A security officer may sometimes need to forcefully prevent the entry of certain persons to the premises they are guarding. You should be assertive and should be confident to challenge people when needed, without being a nuisance to normal visitors to the place.
