Default What does a Sheriff Officer (Scotland) do?

A sheriff officer in Scotland serves similar functions as a bailiff in England and Wales. The responsibilities include enforcing court orders, serving legal documents and collecting debts. As a sheriff officer, you will be writing to debtors asking for payments, talking to debtors to negotiate repayment terms, repossessing goods and property from defaulters, arranging for auction of repossessed goods, etc. You will also keep accurate records of money and property collected.
