Qualifications required to become a Sheriff Officer
To become a sheriff officer, you must be at least 20 years old and should have at least three years working under a qualified sheriff officer. You also need to pass qualification exams –Society of Messengers-at-Arms and Sheriff Officers. You need at least five S-grades (1-3) including English and maths. You also need a driving license, as you will be travelling a lot. While on the job, you can receive further training throughout your career. Continuing professional development schemes are available for sheriff officers.
