Default What skills are needed to become a Sheriff Officer?

Sheriff officers need a good understanding of law. They should also be able to relate to people of variety of backgrounds. Will have a confident and assertive approach, sheriff officers also retain professional demeanour. Ability to remain calm while dealing with distressed people is also essential. Good mathematical skills, physical fitness and willingness to work alone or as part of a team are all essential. You need to have good negotiating skills and ability to carry out orders fairly.
