Default What does a Solicitor do?

Solicitors are legal professionals, offering legal advice to clients – individuals, companies and other organisations. They work in variety of settings. Some solicitors choose private practice, where they offer legal advice on variety of topics like conveyance, probate, family law, etc. They can also work as an in-house legal adviser for a big company. They also can specialise in business laws, offering advice to corporate clients on contract law, taxes, employment, mergers & acquisitions, etc. The Crown Prosecution Service is another option, where you decide whether or not to bring cases to the Court.

They also represent their clients in courts, draft contracts and negotiate on behalf of their clients.
