A graduation or equivalent in sports science or coaching is advisable. In addition to these relevant experience is an advantage. Even without qualifications in relevant subjects you can earn voluntary experience working with local sports development officers or by involving in sports and coaching activities. Sports development officers with an experience of coaching can train different sports and activities. Certificate in coaching can be obtained by BTEC HNC/HND.
