Default Qualifications required to become an IT Support Technician

In most cases, you will need IT qualifications like a degree in IT or computer science. If you have experience in IT support roles, it can also be beneficial. You can opt for qualifications like NCFE Certificate for IT practitioners, BTEC certificate or diploma, City & Guilds IT practitioners Diploma, etc can help you get the job. The job requires you to keep yourself up to date to the latest trends and developments. You need to continue building your skills, throughout your career. There are continuing professional development programs, which you can take. Several short term courses offered by City & Guilds, the British Computer Society (BCS) and others offer different courses and training programs, which can keep your skills and knowledge updated.
