You will also need an exceptional knowledge of security tools and procedures. An IT support technician can benefit from excellent problem solving skills and ability to explain technical details in a non-technical fashion to the other executives.
You also need a methodical approach to problem solving. You also will be exposed to pressurizing situations. Ability to work alone or as part of a team also is important.
