Qualifications required to becoming a Systems Analyst
Formal qualifications like a graduation or BTEC HNC/HND in computer science/studies, information management systems, business information systems, mathematics or operational research is required for a professional systems manager. Certain employers also demand industrial experience. Graduation in Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB) is also advantageous. Non IT graduates can also work as system analyst with ample work experience. They will be asked to do a post graduation in IT subjects or business information systems. Expertise in programming languages and system analysis is required. Working knowledge with SQL, Visual Basic, C++ and Java, Unified Modeling Language (UML) or SAP business software applications can increase your opportunities. System analyst need continues professional development after starting working. Most of the employers provide in house training programs for trainees.
