Default What skills are needed to become a Technical Architect or IT Systems Architect?

Technical architect should show good communication and listening skills to understand clients requirements. Personal skills are necessary to build and keep long term relationship with clients and colleagues. Diplomacy, tact and negotiation skills are essential. Extensive knowledge in technological applications and ability to gather and interpret data is required. Patience and skill to explain complex ideas to technical and non technical staffs is essential. Problem solving skills and performance under pressure to achieve targets is important. Commitment and dedication towards technology is required to remain updated. They should be well versed with industrial standards, legislation and policies. Work flexibility and willingness to adapt with ability to anticipate future trend are also essential qualities.
