Default What skills are needed to become a Technical Author?

Technical author needs excellent written communication skills. Ability to target the audience is an essential skill. Good command over English language and the ability to absorb and organise information in logical way at high speed is required. An interest to research over a range of topics and ability to analyse complex technical information is important. Organised methodological approach towards work and time management skills is needed. Computer literacy and IT skills are required. Team working ability and personal skill to maintain long term relationship with a large sum of people is helpful. Ability to concentrate for long hours and accuracy to the details of work is needed.
