Default What Qualifications are needed to Becoming Town Planning Support Staff?

Depending on your primary role, you will need qualifications in IT, economics, geography, CAD (Computer Aided Design) qualifications, information management, administration, law, etc. The entry requirements can be different for different town planning teams and for exact job functions. Most planning boards will ask for basic qualifications like GCSEs in math, English, geography, etc.

The Royal Town Planning Institute is one place you can contact while pursuing a career in town planning.
