Default What does a Trade Mark Attorney do?

A trade mark attorney is a legal expert, who specialises in trademark related laws, making sure legally protected trademarks are not copied or used by other companies/businesses without consent by trademark owners. They advise clients on provisions to ensure the client company doesn't use trademarks already registered. They also provide advice on intellectual property rights. Their duties include registering and protecting trademarks for their clients and suing any company or businesses that make unauthorised use of registered trademarks.

You will also deal with UK and international authorities on trademark related disputes. You will also negotiate and draft conditions for use of trademarks. You will also work with solicitors and barristers when the dispute comes to court.
