Default What Skills are Needed to Become a Trade Union Official?

An efficient trade union official possess qualifications like excellent management skills, organisational skills and communication skills. A friendly, sociable person who can patiently listen to others problems and come up with solutions is an ideal candidate. He/she must always be willing to help employees on their issues. He/she should be adept at handling people from various backgrounds diplomatically. He/she must be knowledgeable in labour laws. Should be able to work under tremendous pressure. As a good leader he should be an excellent negotiator, also must be confident in conveying his ideas and convincing others. He should he firm when dealing really demanding issues and his decisions are to be with justice.
