Default What skills are needed to become a Train Conductor?

To become a Train Conductor you must possess certain skills and knowledge. You need customer service ability, good knowledge on all rail regulations, safety procedures, fares and timetables, clear speaking voice for announcements, ability to accept responsibility and work without supervision, ability to deal professionally with all kinds of passengers, excellent math skill to handle cash and payments, and willingness to work as a team and flexibly.

Along with these skills it is essential to have a pleasant manner and smart appearance.
