Default What Does a TV/Film Production Assistant Do?

Just as the job title suggests, a TV/Film production assistant offers assistance to producers and directors on various aspects. They have good organisational skills and manage administrative tasks. They also make plans to hire personnel, equipments, places, etc. They also oversee the travel and transportation. They facilitate communication between all the parties concerned.

The job responsibilities can include, but not limited to hiring studio facilities, making travel arrangements, preparing production schedules, dealing with administrative tasks, and a lot more. In TV production, you will be required to keep logs of shots taken. They are also responsible for managing continuity of TV shows – both live and pre-recorded shows.

You will be assisting directors, script writers and technical staff with timely suggestions, directions and making available all the resources at easy reach.
